Measures postural stability using standard deviation of sway in centimeters to quantify the ability to maintain center of balance.

Limit of Stability Test

Measures maximum sway angle as patients lean in all directions — insight into dynamic balance and functional stability.

Weight Distribution Test

Evaluates weight distribution across the base of support, identifying asymmetries in stance or posture.

Sensory Integration of Balance

Assesses use of sensory information under challenging conditions — eyes closed, or unstable foam surfaces.

Balance Error Scoring System

Evaluates balance in single-leg, double-leg, and tandem stances on firm and foam surfaces.

Fall Risk Test

Measures sway velocity — higher velocity indicates reduced postural control and greater fall likelihood.
